EIGHT ELEPHANTS and www.8-elephants.com are trading names of EIGHT ELEPHANTS. We recommend that you read these terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions apply to all interactions and transactions on this site.

 

This site is owned and operated by Eight Elephants (‘Eight Elephants, ‘8-Elephants’, ‘we’ or ‘us’ or ‘our’). If you have any questions or comments with regard to these terms and conditions please email us at: 8kickingelephants@gmail.com.

 

By visiting or shopping at the website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as the other policies posted on the website.  We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time, without notice.  Any changes will take effect when posted on this website.

 

ORDERING

EIGHT ELEPHANTS will treat each order for goods, which is confirmed when you click on the CHECKOUT button, as an offer by you to purchase the goods and services subject to these terms and conditions. We shall supply you, subject to availability, with the quantity and specification of goods set out in your order. We shall confirm each order by email and such confirmation shall be our acceptance of the contract between us.

 

EIGHT ELEPHANTS reserves the right to reject any orders in full or in part or to apply a maximum order amount.

 

PRICES

All prices in www.8-elephants.com are in Singapore Dollar (S$). All prices are correct at time of publication, however we reserve the right to alter prices for any reason. 

 

PAYMENT

Goods will not be shipped unless payment is received in full. EIGHT ELEPHANTS uses PayPal for accepting payment by credit card. PayPal is an internationally recognized payment gateway and offers a highly secure service. EIGHT ELEPHANTS thus, does not obtain your card details, PayPal processes your payment and forwards the payment to us. You will be sent a payment confirmation email from PayPal immediately once your payment has completed successfully. For PayPal terms and conditions please visit their website www.paypal.com.

 

Payment methods through PAYPAL – When you are checking out, and get redirected to PayPal’s web page to make payment, you have two options for making payment:


 

  • Proceed without joining PayPal. This option means you will enter your card details and PayPal will take Payment but not setup a PayPal account for you;

          OR  Login or setup a PayPal account

      • Another method of payment you can use is through direct bank transfer.  Payment should be transferred to our OCBC Bank Singapore, current account 594-202087-001, Branch code 7339. Order ID should be used as  payment reference. Once payment is transferred, you should inform us once we would advise you regarding the delivery or pick-up of your order.  An email receipt containing information about your order will soon follow. It is advisable to keep it for your records.

      If you are purchasing from overseas you can pay after placing your order/s via email, EIGHT ELEPHANTS will then email you the details of your order/s and once confirmed a Paypal invoice will be issued to you. 

       

      WARRANTY

      All manual scooters sold by EIGHT ELEPHANTS have a 1-month warranty against manufacturer’s defects from the date of purchase from www.8-elephants.com. Further, this warranty only covers defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, excessive abuse or misuse, impacts due stunt riding, commercial use, improper assembly or maintenance, installation of parts or accessories not originally intended or compatible, installation of power systems such as engines or electric motors, damage due to accident, weather or neglect, or cosmetic issues or modifications you made. 

      For Singapore, all electric or motorised scooters have a free one year limited warranty including the battery and service.

      For the Philippines, all electric or motorised scooters have a free 6-month limited warranty including the battery and service.

       

      SHIPPING/DELIVERY

      Delivery shall be made at the address specified by you at the time of ordering. We will make every effort to deliver within the times specified, but delivery times quoted are approximate only and we cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience arising from failure to provide the advertised service because of factors which could reasonably be considered to be outside our control. 

      Shipping & Delivery in SINGAPORE

      Shipping rates posted in our website reflect the cost of shipping your order within Singapore. For EXPRESS DELIVERY of pre-order products, customers are advised to contact us at 8kickingelephants@gmail.com. This is to enable us to guide you and advise you on shipping charges and delivery date.

      Self-Collection

      For self-collection, customers are advised to arrange the time and day of collection. This is to allow us to prepare the order you have placed and minimize the time of waiting.

      Customers are required to produce their IC and printed copy of the invoice.

      Delivery Time

      The delivery date of your order will vary by product, availability and shipping method. Available products are delivered within 3-4 working days. For pre-order product/s, it usually takes 3-4 weeks. Although we try our best to deliver your order as estimated, delivery timeframes are not guaranteed.

      Shipping to Other Asian Countries

      Aside from Singapore, EIGHT ELEPHANTS is  able to ship to the following countries:  Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand.  Customers are required to email us at 8kickingelephants@gmail.com, so we can advise  you regarding shipping charges and delivery date. Customers  are responsible for any local sales taxes, other taxes and government levies, if any, associated with the order. 

       

       

      AVAILABILITY

      
Goods are generally available and ex stock. In the unlikely event an item is out of stock, then we will notify you for your further instructions, or of any delay that may occur in delivery times.

       

       

      VOUCHERS/COUPONS

      Discount coupons and vouchers have to be entered at checkout or when the cart summary is displayed. If an order is placed and the voucher is not entered, EIGHT ELEPHANTS will not reimburse the difference, nor credit the voucher afterwards.

       

      DAMAGED GOODS ON DELIVERY

      If, in the unlikely event, your goods arrive in a damaged condition or are defective, you must inform us as soon as possible.  It is the customer's responsibility to check the packaging when items have been delivered and not to "sign off" if the packaging is damaged in any way. EIGHT ELEPHANTS suggests that you take a photograph of the packaged upon receipt.

      NOTE: Acceptance of delivery voids any liability to the freight company.

       

      WRONG ITEM/WRONG QUANTITY

      If you receive the wrong item or the wrong quantity, please contact us immediately. We will resend the correct item to you and refund the return shipping costs due to our error.
      however if the item returned is found not to be sent in error by us; then you will be responsible for the postage charges. 

      We will not refund postage costs if you use a premium/express service.

      We will not pay freight costs if returned by courier companies. 

       

      RETURN/EXCHANGE

      No returns or refunds without prior consent from EIGHT ELEPHANTS.  Returns will be charged at 20% restocking fee and shipping cost will not be refunded.

      You will be responsible for all shipping charges for returned goods. All returns must be in new condition, complete with original box, instructions, warranty cards, etc.

      No returns or refunds  will be offered for  pre-ordered, promo, pre-loved or secondhand items. 

       

       

      INTERNATIONAL/PRE ORDERS RETURNS/EXCHANGES/CANCELLATION

      Orders once placed shall not be cancelled once the product has been shipped.

      No cancellations are entertained for those products that are on sale under any special promotion category.

      Goods once sold cannot be returned. In case of a genuine manufacturing defect that is not traceable to damage during shipment, the product shall be replaced.

      In case of complaints regarding products that come with a warranty from manufacturers, please refer the issue to them.
